About the Release & Vibe

🎛️ Warm analog sub-bass, dub-infused filter sweeps, swinging MPC percussion, and the unmistakable blueprint of golden-era US West Coast Tech House.

Released on Halo Varga's Magnetic Recordings, Passage (1999-2004) [MAGD048] is a masterclass retrospective documenting the five-year peak of H Foundation (the iconic production partnership of Halo Varga and Hipp-E). Spanning nearly two hours across 13 full-length 12-inch versions, this compilation captures the exact moment deep house, dub, and techno merged into the rolling West Coast tech house sound. Alongside foundational H Foundation originals like "Hear Da Sound" (1999), "Release" (2001), and "Passage Of Time" (2002), the package includes Halo Varga's timeless underground anthem "Future" (2000)—famously championed by Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, and later reworked by Guy J—plus prime H Foundation remixes for Soma legends Silicone Soul ("Chic-O-Laa"), Plastic Avengers ("El Bombata"), Mephisto Odyssey, Sirus, and Nigel Hayes.

The Vibe: Deep, hypnotic, and timeless vinyl-era grooves engineered for long, rolling club transitions and heads-down dancefloors. Available now in lossless quality on MusicVibez.

💬 HUMAN PERSPECTIVE /

EN (DJ & Selector Review): Passage (1999-2004) on Magnetic Recordings [MAGD048] is an essential history lesson in classic West Coast House and Tech House. Showcasing the peak studio years of H Foundation (Halo Varga & Hipp-E), every track on this 111-minute compilation exemplifies deep, dubby, hardware-driven groove. Highlights include the original 9:52 version of Halo Varga's iconic classic "Future" (2000), H Foundation's rolling reworks of Silicone Soul's "Chic-O-Laa" and Plastic Avengers' "El Bombata", and Hipp-E's stripped-back dub of "People". A mandatory crate addition for selectors who appreciate authentic early-2000s underground house weight.
