About the Release & Vibe

✨ Timeless jazz-soul royalty meets contemporary NYC club bounce. Raw, haunting vocal emotion paired with crisp, modern four-on-the-floor percussion and warm sub-bass weight.

Harlem-born producer and DJ Austin Millz steps up to the legendary Verve vaults to officially reimagine Nina Simone’s iconic 1965 recording I Put A Spell On You. Preserving the dramatic horn swells and unmistakable gravel of Simone’s voice, Millz injects his signature high-energy bounce, crisp house drums, and punchy low-end groove, transforming a classic standard into an instant modern floor-filler.

The Vibe: A high-impact secret weapon for open-format selectors, house DJs, and lounge curators looking for an instantly recognizable vocal flip with modern club weight. Available now in uncompressed WAV fidelity on MusicVibez.

💬 HUMAN PERSPECTIVE /

EN (DJ Review): Austin Millz continues his streak of soulful club flips with an official Verve-sanctioned rework of Nina Simone's masterpiece. By letting Simone's commanding vocals and vintage brass breathe over a tight, bouncing house rhythm section, he delivers a devastating 2-minute-39-second transition tool. Having the uncompressed WAV master ensures the delicate vintage mids and modern sub-bass punch coexist with zero clipping on big systems.
